Eagles waive wide receiver B.J. Cunningham

The Eagles have waived wide receiver B.J. Cunningham, who has been dealing with a foot injury, with an injury settlement, the club said Thursday.

A sixth-round pick of the Dolphins in 2012, Cunningham was waived by Miami after the preseason. He spent last season on the Eagles’ practice squad.

The 24-year-old Cunningham played collegiately at Michigan State from 2007-2011 and set the school’s career receptions and yardage records.

The Eagles now have 11 wide receivers on their roster. Moreover, they are one player under the 90-player limit.

I would be awful upset if I were this guy due to the timing. But with an injury he may have seen it coming before the Cooper situation happened.

If only he had played at Rutgers, he would be a Patriot by now…

Oh so he’s a black WR, and is “offended” by RC’s mistake. Therefore he must be kept on the roster even if he sucks just b/c of the possible perception that race would be reported to be the motivation for the transaction?

Cunningham sucks, RC is better, accept it.

I love the way people try to read anything into this. He was a longshot to begin with and can’t even practice due to a broken foot.

If the NFL is so offended by a certain slur by Riley Cooper why do they let Washington keep the name Redskins? The term Redskin is just as offensive as the N word. Hippocrates.
