The Seahawks were awarded undrafted rookie wide receiver Perez Ashford on waivers from New England on Thursday, the club said.
In addition, the Seahawks announced the signing of undrafted rookie tight end Andrei Lintz, who played at Washington State.
A Northern Illinois product, Ashford originally signed with Cleveland on April 30. The Browns waived him May 30, and he landed with the Patriots on July 19.
Ashford and Lintz are reinforcements at positions where the Seahawks currently have key players out of action. Wide receiver Percy Harvin and tight end Zach Miller are on the active-PUP list, while wideout Sidney Rice has sought treatment in Switzerland for a knee ailment.
In other roster moves, the Seahawks waived-injured rookie wideout Greg Herd and waived rookie running back Ray Holley. Herd played at Eastern Washington, while Holley is a Louisiana Tech product. Both were undrafted free agents.
