Steelers awarded CB Buddy Jackson on waivers

The Steelers are taking a look at a former local collegiate player.

The club has been awarded former University of Pittsburgh cornerback Buddy Jackson on waivers from Kansas City. The addition of Jackson was noted in the NFL’s official transactions Thursday.

Jackson (6-1, 180) entered the NFL as an undrafted free agent with Indianapolis in 2012. He’s had stints with the Colts, Redskins and Chiefs.

In a corresponding roster move Thursday, the Steelers waived rookie long-snapper Luke Ingram.

The Steelers have all 90 roster spots filled, but four players — tight ends Heath Miller and David Johnson, linebacker Sean Spence and nose tackle Alameda Ta’amu — are on the active / physically unable to perform list.

I know its a long loooong shot but man i sure as heck hope Sean Spence can make it back from that Knee injury that wiped out his rookie season. He was a beast in college and Colbert and Tomlin have him on the pup list

ESPN is running with the DrewBrees $3 tip on a $75 restaurant bill. Why can’t you guys be a reputable news source like them?

    6-1, 180? Pretty slight build.

Thats 2 corners in the last 2 days the steelers have signed that can blanket raven receivers. Lucky for the ravens they won’t make the team.

I hope this kid can play.

I hate to say it. But Clark and #43 are getting long in the tooth and Ike Taylor and Cortez Allen got picked on at times last year. Hope Gay and Thomas pan out too.

4 11 The ravens are like…wait there is no one like the ravens that didn’t have the guts to let a criminal go like the Pats did….just sayin skippy…..

Ike had some moments last year, but I feel he is underrated. Allen showed flashes, and hopefully will be as good as Lewis was in his first year as a starter. The key as usual will be Troy’s health. When he was healthy last year, he was the same guy that he’s always been. A playmaker…

Hey Scoobie, that old record is stuck on the same track again. Give em a kick will ya?

you have seriously become a one trick pony. when you have nothing to have just go back to ray lewis. i suppose no criminals have ever been on the steelers. and since you love the pats so much what about all the criminals they have harbored. keep in mind hernandez hasnt even gone to trial yet and atlanta dropped all felony charges against ray lewis. dennard is still a pat and he assaulted a cop. is that not as bad as lying.

  14. scoobies05 says: Aug 2, 2013 12:13 AM

when did the patriots let dennard go

atlanta dropped all felony charges against ray lewis.

Well of course the charges were dropped, he pled to a lesser charge in order to walk away and not have to face trial. Prosecution did not have enough evidence anyway, however, he was obviously involved in someone’s death.

so you think he was allowed to plea to a misdeamor instead of being made to stand trial for a double homicide? how come no one ever holds the two men who instigated the incident responsible when they committed a felony starting the whole event. and again…its not a mystery who killed them. they were put on trial with ray lewis as a witness and they were ruled to have acted in self defense

    all over it jmf

These Ravens fans really have nothing better to do than troll Steelers posts on an NBC sports page? That’s just really sad. Can you imagine that life? And this one guy who thinks Joe Flacco and Joe Montana could ever be compared in any way needs to be slapped. He obviously has only been watching football since the purple browns showed up in Baltimore.

nofool, love the passion, but maybe it’s time to move on, if nothing else because Lewis is no longer on the team.

Truth of the matter is, there are players on both teams that you and I probably wouldn’t invite over to dinner. Heck, I’d rather sit down with jmf than 1/2 my own team. But if they can latch the chinstrap and line up, then for 3 glorious hours on Sunday I will root for them.

Just some friendly advice from a fellow Steeler Fan. Good day brother.

0 0 Crown, I only bring him up to help keep the raven children humble as of late they have been acting quite arrogant and superior. Scoobie s can make a good point …JMF is just a little child looking for the attention he never got as a child. He is also using JMF as an alias for someone banned from this sight.
Hey I ll give your suggestion some thought, but I don’t suffer hypocrites well with or without Lewis playing.
