More injuries for Saints pass-rushers

Junior Galette AP

If this keeps up, the Saints may be calling Rickey Jackson in soon.

According to Larry Holder of the New Orleans Times-Picayune, outside linebacker Junior Galette left practice with a trainer.

This might not be so big a deal if the Saints hadn’t already lost projected starter Victor Butler for the season with a torn ACL, and replacement Martez Wilson for several weeks with an elbow injury.

That had the Saints running former Raiders starter Jay Richardson, who was out of football last year, in Galette’s spot with the first defense.

If Galette’s out any amount of time, the Saints will have to add some reinforcements, if only to get through practice.

It was probably heat related. He wasn’t limping or anything.

Well the only good thing is that Wilson shouldn’t miss any time during the actual season. Still, this is getting ridiculous. After looking at Dallas’ injuries last year maybe Rob Ryan is cursed…
