PFT Live: Raiders talk with Scott Bair, PFT Planet calls and tweets

Sio Moore, Jason Hunter, David Bass AP

The Raiders make their preseason debut on Friday night against the Cowboys, which makes it a good time to take a look at where things stand in Oakland heading into coach Dennis Allen’s second season.

Scott Bair of CSN Bay Area will join Mike Florio to talk about all things Raiders. We’ll touch on Matt Flynn’s chances of being the starting quarterback, cornerback D.J. Hayden’s health and much more during the chat about a team looking for its first winning season since 2002.

And we’ll close the week with another round of questions from PFT Planet. Florio will be answering queries about the Raiders, Thursday night’s games and anything else that may be on your mind. Send them in via Twitter — @ProFootballTalk — or give a call to 888-237-5269 to have them answered during the program.

Whether or not you decide to throw a question into the hopper, you can watch it all live right here at noon ET.

I have a question: When will the Raiders be relevant, again?

The NFL would be better served if the UFL’s Sacramento Mountain Lions replaced the Raiders in the AFC West for a couple of seasons. The Mountain Lions look more like an NFL team than the Raiders.

Bolt troll. Your team has done what since the AFL merger?

Boy, that was 5 minutes of my life I’ll never get back. This guy knows as much about the Raiders as I do about auto racing. The Raiders “WRs are Denarius Moore, Jacoby Ford, and nothing else.” Really? Rod Streater was the team’s most consistent wideout last year(and is listed as a starter on the depth chart). Granted, he isn’t an elite player but if you’re going to have somebody on to supposedly know about a team, they should at least have heard of the personnel.

the Raiders are going to be great again it just takes time and without Al Davis meddling anymore it’ll be sooner rather than later

Really Humbolt? One Superbowl appearance and that being a loss for the chargers in half a century? Please sit back down.

How about we replace Dumboldt with someone who actually knows something about football?
