MRI shows no damage to Floyd’s knee

Floyd

The Vikings weren’t overly concerned about rookie defensive tackle Sharrif Floyd’s knee. Their lack of concern was justified.

According to the Associated Press, Floyd said an MRI revealed no damage. He also said he’s ready to play whenever the medical staff lets him.

No worries on my part,” Floyd said. “At the end of the day, it’s [coach Leslie Frazier’s] call, not mine.”

Floyd had lingering soreness in his knee on Sunday, two mornings after his preseason debut in a game against the Texans.

The first-round pick who unexpectedly slid into the 20s currently isn’t expected to start for the Vikings, but he’s expected to contribute to the rotation.
