The Titans, who have some injury concerns at linebacker, have added to their depth at the position.

According to NFL Network’s Ian Rapoport, the club has signed veteran linebacker Gary Guyton to a one-year contract.

Guyton, 27, notched 229 tackles and 4.5 sacks in four seasons with the Patriots (2008-2011). He had stints with the Dolphins, Cowboys and Chargers in 2012 and started one regular-season game for San Diego.

Two of the Titans’ top three middle linebackers are battling injuries. Colin McCarthy (hamstring) will miss the club’s Aug. 17 preseason game at Cincinnati, while Greg Jones suffered an ankle injury in the Titans’ preseason opener vs. Washington, Jim Wyatt of the Nashville Tennessean reported Saturday. Also, rookie outside linebacker Zaviar Gooden missed practice Saturday with an ankle injury, the Tennessean reported.

Good kid & team player, but don’t expect too much as far as a starting line backer.
