Bears to train at Olivet Nazarene University through 2022

Marc Trestman, Jay Cutler AP

The bulk of the NFL’s teams have held training camp at home this summer.

The Bears, who have long held training camp at remote sites, are not one of those teams, and that will remain the same for the next nine seasons.

The Bears will continue to train at Olivet Nazarene University in Bourbonnais, Illinois through 2022, the club and school said Monday, per ChicagoBears.com.

Previously, the Bears held training camp in Platteville, Wisconsin.

Olivet Nazarene is about 90 miles from the Bears’ headquarters in Lake Forest, Illinois.

    Olivet Nazarene shudders in his grave.

    I dont care where they train. Kromer needs to Teach the O-line to protect Cutler. Trestman needs to get his offense moving. I want to see why Emery passed on some top NFL OC’s to bring him from the CFL. I know the media is just waiting to blame Cutler. BUT Im ready to start at the top. Emery has done a great job with bringing in players. Now we have to see can he pick a coach and so far Im not inpressed.

    I tried to tell you this back when Emery hired him. But you meatheads wouldn’t listen.

    Yes, after 13 practices and one preseason game, Trestman and Kromer have sure dropped the ball. I mean, implementing an entire new offense is something that can be done in a week, tops.

    Also, we can surely judge GM Emery’s success after one full season, as well. It’s not like he inherited any b.s. from the former GM.

    Hey, did you hear Jay Cutler broke both his legs in a car accident, too?

    ONU has always been regarded as one of the best off-site locations for training camp, especially from a fan’s perspective.

    So many teams are moving to their headquarters and getting the players away from “fan distractions” but the Bears are doing the opposite; the college announced they are going to make renovations and upgrades not just to locker rooms and the field, but facilities for fans as well.

    At least somebody out there cares about us.

    You are honestly going to judge them based off one preseason game? Give me a break already, let them play through at least half of the regular season before you start trolling…..BEAR DOWN!!

    Bears or Olivet Nazarene University.

    Which one has the better football team?

    @chi01town:

    For a while now I have liked your posts…This one, not so much…They’ve played one – one! – frickin’ preseason game. Lighten up, dude! (You’re giving ammo to the trolls.)

    Because your 30 year old journeyman QB couldn’t be the problem? That bum has never posted a 90 QB rating. Not even once.

    At least Trestman/Emery weren’t dumb enough to pay Jay until wins something.

    Face it – Jay blows chunks.

    By the time they get out of there all the Bears will speak French.

  15. thereyougo2 says: Aug 12, 2013 9:04 PM

    Look at this realistically. Most everyone would not make it to practice because of Chicago’s traffic. They have to train away from that congestion.

    @filthymcnasty1
    so you want me to get started on Green bay? or do you want to be quiet and go away? TOO LATE..
    Rodgers played in that game in green bay and the packers had Zero
    points, ” Vince Young” Ha ha ha ha
    and FAT Johnnie purple drank Jolly looked like he just got out of jail. that O-line will get Rodgers, Starks, and any other FAT RB in the back field hurt. Dom Capers needs to run out of green bay now! cause the packers are all set to blame him for this season. even tho Capers cant stop or even slow down the read option. WANT MORE? well why not. Rodgers has been spending so much time looking into Ryan Braun’s eyes that he just noticed that he dont have a WR worth talking about. and did I mention the 49ers are waiting for the first game cause they hate the packers as much as I do? I gave you a break on that defense that let Palmer carve them up like a ham on sunday night. then his back up did the same thing. until the packers get a score this season you should hide
