Jamaal Charles is “fine,” despite foot sprain

Charles

Chiefs running back Jamaal Charles sprained a foot on Monday. X-rays were negative, but that doesn’t necessarily tell the whole story.

X-rays on a foot can be negative, but there can still be plenty of damage inside the foot.

In Charles’ case, the sprain is nevertheless not serious. Per a source with knowledge of the situation, Charles if “fine.”

That news is better than fine for the Chiefs, who expect to use Charles extensively in Reid’s offense.

Charles missed most of 2011 with a torn ACL, but he returned to have a Pro Bowl season in 2012.
