The Jaguars offense got a lecture from tight end Marcedes Lewis on Tuesday, which helps explain why the state of the offense will be one of the chief topics when General Manager David Caldwell makes an appearance as a guest on Pro Football Talk on NBCSN.

Caldwell will talk to Scott Pioli about why he took tackle Luke Joeckel with the second overall pick, his expectations for running back Maurice Jones-Drew and the biggest surprises he’s had in his first season running a front office during his visit. The rest of the crew will also give their thoughts on the Jags as they try to build themselves back into a winner.

We’ll also be checking in with the Bengals, who are in very different territory as they vie for their third straight playoff appearance. We’ll discuss whether or not they’ll be able to make that happen and, if they do, what they’ve done to give themselves of winning a postseason game for the first time in this run of appearances.

It all gets started at 5 p.m. ET on NBCSN.

Caldwell definitely has the “Capo dei capi” look about him. Just a matter of time.

Ask him why he didn’t bring in a QB to compete with Henne and Gabbert for the starting position like he said he would.
