Browns running back Trent Richardson missed the preseason opener, but he’s good to go this week.
Coach Rob Chudzinski said today that Richardson will be Cleveland’s starting running back in Thursday night’s exhibition game against the Lions. Richardson is expected to play the first two series.
Richardson has been dealing with a shin injury, but he says it feels fine.
“I don’t even know what shin y’all talking about,” he told reporters.
Although Richardson’s durability has been a concern, he was able to start 15 games as a rookie last year and compile 267 carries for 950 yards, plus 51 catches for 367 yards.
