Griffin finally returns to 11-on-11 drills

AP

Redskins quarterback Robert Griffin III won’t play in the preseason.  But he finally has returned to 11-on-11 team drills.

Via Tarik El-Bashir of CSNWashington.com, Griffin took 13 snaps, completing five of eight passes.

While Griffin remains protected from contact, he’s now exposed to an inadvertent hit from a zealous defensive lineman — which happened during Tuesday night’s episode of Hard Knocks, but which didn’t result in any injuries.

It possibly may have happened on Wednesday during joint practices between the Bucs and Patriots, where New England quarterback Tom Brady apparently suffered some sort of leg injury.

  1. A quick sort of the roster page on the team website under the Experience column reveals 2 names to watch. Rookie DL Chigbo Anunoby and DT Domonique Hamilton. Those are my 2 guesses for the newbie that gets busted for busting RG3.

  2. HILARIOUS how this article refuses to mention the king BOB G 3 threw an interception also, and threw some terrible looking passes as reported on ESPN a second ago, of course we don’t want the real BOB to shine through, so we will cover up any interception he throws

Yep – and he’s waaay slower than he was last year.

Love how haters just make ish up. Where you there? Did you clock him? Liar.

  4. My theory is that thermanmerman99 and logicalvoice are actually the same person, trolling from two completely opposing angles. Somewhere in the middle of those two voices is the real person trying to get out, screaming for help.

  5. The player haters ball is moving from its current location to a permanent residence at RG3 pool house secure your tickets on PFT on any thread!!! HTTR!! And goodnight haters!!

  6. 5 out of 8. heard a hater braggin’ that he threw a pick, and looked rusty. REALLY? would he not look rusty in his first full squad practice since last season ended? it’s August 2013.

  7. Wheres the news of him looking terrible and getting picked off by some scrub, dude will fail miserably and he will refrain back to crying while listening to his favorite group, Hootie and the Blowfish

  8. Thank you PFT for reporting another RG3 story. I think the raisin fans have finally ran out of ammo. This story is still way more entertaining than anything Jose Flaaco has to say or do.

  9. See…..this is what I’m talking about. All this article will generate is hate. The true test will be week 1 Monday Night at home against Philly. Listen folks, the fans know exactly what has transpired today, and do not need these updates through a national website.

Maybe so, but that still makes him way faster than 95 percent of the qb’s in the league

  11. Re: the interception —

This does not make Redskins fans sad, dummies…don’t you think we want our defense to play well also?

    SMH at the dum dums…

If you really need to put this much effort into hating Robert Griffin, I feel kind of bad for you, pal. However I would point out to the general public that Griffin went 7/10 and a touchdown in his first 11-11 drill of the year and was described by CSN, ESPN, and NFLN as looking “very sharp”. You just hang in there, though, buddy 🙂 Keep your chin up, OK?
