When you collect random veteran wide receivers, at some point you have to clear some of them out.
The Redskins just announced they released former Saints wideout Devery Henderson. He was signed in June, and apparently didn’t make much of an impression.
Henderson’s one of those guys who traded on speed and potential forever, as the former second-round pick had some great yards-per-catch years with the Saints (three times topping 20.0 yards per catch, including 24.8 in 2008), but never really transferred that into reliable work as a regular.
Now 31, it might be harder to find a job.
