Browns’ Barkevious Mingo, Jason Pinkston suffer injuries

Mingo

Browns outside linebacker Barkevious Mingo suffered a rib injury in Thursday night’s preseason game vs. Detroit and is questionable to return, according to the Browns’ telecast of the game and multiple other media outlets.

Mingo is the Browns’ first-round pick.

Earlier in the game, Browns guard Jason Pinkston suffered a right ankle injury, the club said.

Pinkston, who was playing right guard, had his leg rolled into by John Greco, who was pushed over by Lions defensive tackle Nick Fairley.

Pinkston missed most of the 2012 season because of blood clots.

The Browns now have had two of their top three guards suffer injuries in the lead-up to the season. Shawn Lauvao recently had ankle surgery last week.

In other Browns injury news, tight end Gary Barnidge hurt his shoulder, and his return is questionable, according to the Browns’ telecast of the game.
