Max Hall now Winnipeg’s starting quarterback

A few months ago, we noted that ex-Cardinals quarterback Max Hall had signed with the CFL’s Winnipeg Blue Bombers.

On Friday, Hall will make his first CFL start for Winnipeg, which is in the midst of a four-game losing streak and recently changed general managers. He’s the third different starting quarterback for the Blue Bombers.

“I feel prepared,” Hall said Monday, per the Winnipeg Free Press. “I will say it took me a while to get used to the CFL game but I feel comfortable. I feel ready and I feel confident.”

Hall, 27, started three games for the Cardinals in 2010. He was a student assistant at BYU in 2012.

Troy Smith to Montreal, Max Hall to Winnipeg…Tim Tebow to Saskatchewan next?

    Umm… go Blue Bombers?

that’s cool for Max Hall, but i feel bad for Justin Goltz, their previous starter. Goltz was told he was going to be the QB the rest of the way, but after decent play, he gets benched? If I’m Ottawa, I’m excited, because Goltz will probably be available, and that’s an exciting prospect for an expansion team

No Tebow in Canada. You need an arm to qb up here.

Max seemed a nice enough guy while with the Cards, but there was no getting around the fact that he was a near Munchkin, not able to see over his offensive line, and on more than one occasion firing a pass into the back of his center/guard’s helmet.

    Who cares about the CFL?

    Who cares about the CFL?

Richard Sherman once he’s done in the NFL in a couple of years. The CFL doesn’t test for PED’s.

Max Hall will be a winning QB for them. Mike Shanahan stakes his reputation on it.

    Poor Winnipeg…

Last started for Cards in 2010? Man, seems like just yesterday. Of course given the dirth of QB play, it’s easy for this Cardinals fan to blend the Hall, Hoyer, Skelton, Kolb, Derek Anderson, Leinart years as a single 40-plus game nightmare.

On to better things this season.

Winnipeg is a terrible team. Max Hall likely won’t do well with them, but they are so bad, Aaron Rodgers likely wouldn’t do well with them.

Whiz talking this guy up was the first sign that he could not evaluate talent that wasn’t handed to him. It got no better.

Hey Dioalice, you left future HOFer Ryan Lindley off your list!

Tebow would never land in Saskatchewan. Durant has got 15 TDs with zero picks in 6 games to start the year. Hovering around 130 QB Rating.

    Max Hall hates me

Well its SHOW TIME………for Maximus Hall (aka The Gladiator!). The T-Cats from Hamilton will be embarrassed this afternoon (Aug 24) and the Cardinals will see that they made a huge mistake! Well, the Cardinals probably did not make a mistake given that there are 4 DOWNS in the NFL’er ’cause its a RUNNING game……

Winterpeg loves ANY QB that stays to play.

Hay ………. if Tebow was to lands in Saskatchewan ………..send him with a one-way bus ticket across the prairies to Winnipeg. Tebow could then back up Max Hall and lead the Bombers to the Grey Cup.
