APWhen running back Doug Martin left last night’s game after taking a knee to the head, the Buccaneers said he was being “evaluated,” carefully avoiding the C word.
But Martin himself said he passed concussion tests, and could have returned to the game, after Chandler Jones’ knee struck him in the helmet.
“It was just a tough play,” Martin said, via Stephen Holder of the Tampa Bay Times. “Things happen.”
Martin was going low on Jones after missing a previous block, which led to a sack of Josh Freeman. It wasn’t the best start for Martin, but at least he escaped without a more serious problem.
As my #1 pick, u scared me to death there, buddy. No-preseason for you anymore, pls!
Poor Bucs-the years go on-and they still suck!
We can be thankful he is OK! After last nights showing he may be one best offensive weapons the team has this season. The QB position looks bad, real bad!
Josh Freeman is not a franchise type QB
Bucs will be 8 & 8 if lucky.
He stinks
Fantasy Bust
The C word? That would be rude of the Buccaneers to say
Better check Freeman to see if he is concussed. 2 straight games, 2 straight simple handoffs to start the game. 2 straight crash and burn contact with the rb. Okay stat boys how does this look for a glamor boy qb? Ya still want to knock Mike Glennon?

No. It was a dirty play. You went for Jone’s knees intentionally and luckily he was athletic enough to jump over you and not hurt himself when you got what you had coming to you.
I don’t know much about the Buc’s roster and if this guy is on the bubble or not for making his team, but playing dirty isn’t going to help you get there.
Should I pick Martin, Foster or Charles at #2?
Their all hurt, I say take Lynch, Spiller or Rice……
Don’t sleep on McCoy either.

Well we know it ain’t “championship”
Dont know how he did last year, Martin looked like a boy among men out there in pass protection. Sheeesh
He was abused badly by NE D-ends and LBs.
Abused like prescription of Adderall in the Seahawks locker room
Dude should hold out for real money! He’s getting ripped off with that rookie contract!
