Jason Peters returns to Eagles practice

After missing several weeks with a hamstring injury, Eagles left tackle Jason Peters finally has returned to practice.

According to Corey Seidman of, Peters practiced for the first time since tweaking the leg muscle on July 31.

Peters missed both preseason games; he was replaced by Allen Barbre.

Also returning to practice were running back Bryce Brown, who missed more than a week after suffering a quad contusion against the Patriots, and long snapper Jon Dorenbos, who suffered a concussion in the preseason opener against New England.

Depending on the identity of the starting quarterback, Peters may — or may not — be protecting the passer’s blind side.

Doesn’t the left tackle just switch to the right-hand side when the quarterback is left-handed? Seems like that would make the most sense…

I dare anyone to try to choke this man. You couldn’t put both hands around his massive neck. Geez.

I’m even more impressed by how the Eagles O-line has performed the past 2 weeks without the Pro-Bowler Peters!!! With him in the starting position it bodes well that they will have significantly greater depth and protection this season.

Athletic, talented.. But injury prone. The knock on this guy has been the same since college where he played TE… He doesn’t stay in shape I’m not sure how he’ll do in an up tempo offense. I’d be surprised if he plays 6 games

Peters took the preseason off just like he took last season off after admitting he could have played last season. What a teammate.
