Texans wide receiver DeAndre Hopkins was sidelined in Saturday night’s exhibition game vs. Miami after being shaken up in the first half, head coach Gary Kubiak said at halftime on the club’s telecast of the game.
According to the Texans’ website, Hopkins has a head injury.
The Texans’ first-round pick in April, the 21-year-old Hopkins is expected to be a regular contributor in the club’s offense, which is in need of consistent playmaking threats at receiver opposite of Andre Johnson.
The Texans’ next preseason game is Sunday, August 25 vs. New Orleans. Their preseason finale is just four days later at Dallas.
