The Dolphins have placed tight end Dustin Keller on injured reserve after he suffered multiple right knee injuries in Saturday’s exhibition game at Houston.

The move was expected, given the severity of Keller’s injuries. According to ESPN’s Adam Schefter, Keller suffered a torn ACL, MCL, PCL and a knee dislocation when he was hit low by Texans safety D.J. Swearinger on a second-quarter play.

Keller is an unrestricted free agent at season’s end.

To fill Keller’s roster spot, the Dolphins signed rookie linebacker Nathan Williams, who played collegiately at Ohio State. Williams (6-3, 249) recorded 40 tackles as a senior.
