The kicker carousel continues to spin, with one getting off in Arizona.

According to Adam Schefter of ESPN, the Cardinals are signing former Dolphins kicker Dan Carpenter to a one-year deal.

That puts him face-to-face with veteran kicker Jay Feely, whom Carpenter once replaced in Miami.

With a number of teams in the market for kickers, these guys are going to play musical chairs for the next several weeks.

    Feely should be worried…

The cardinals signed carpenter as a gesture for winning them the game last year against the dolphins.

This kind of a kicker-competition would make Tony Sparano MELT!

Packers missed out on another one.

Feely is a pretty decent kicker. But the new coaching regime has no attachment to him. I can’t imagine that this signing is anything more than competition to push Feely. Feely’s relatively low salary won’t be a hindrance in this competition.

Such a difference in attitude with Steve Keim as the Cards’ GM. He’s willing to bring in guys at one year, low risk/high reward scenarios to help the team win now.

John Abraham. Eric Winston. Dan Carpenter. And, something tells me they’ll continue to bring in anyone they feel can compete/win a job. Nearly the exact opposite of the Rod Graves years.

If feely loses his job to Dan a second time…. this could mean war.

    Neither kicker is any good.

The Dolphins could’ve used Carpenter on the Cardinals’ roster last year.

Hopefully, he takes jay Feeley’s job again. That twerp gets on my nerves.

There are better kickers than Feely, but Carpenter is not one of them.

Feely has been off…and he takes that pretty casually. I think the Cards are a little tired of it! Carpenter may not be the answer, but they are looking for one…and Feely better feel the heat.

That’s kind of funny considering that Dan Carpenter is the reason why the Cardinals beat the Dolphins last year.

Mighty Mouse, er Jay Feely, is running out of steam.

Well, they know what they are getting. I wish Dan well. I like what I see from the kid from Florida. Glad to have Caleb.
