‘Tis the season to exchange your spare parts that you were going to cut anyway, if you can get anything of value.

According to Mike Chappell of the Indianapolis Star, the Colts are trading running back Delone Carter to the Ravens.

Carter wasn’t going to get many touches after the Colts obtained Ahmad Bradshaw, anyway, so a change in scenery can’t hurt. He started three games for the Colts in 2011, but only got 32 rushing attempts last year.

The Colts announced moments later the swap was for Ravens wide receiver David Reed, who showed some flashes as a return man, but has caught five passes in three NFL seasons.
