Cousins out tonight, Grossman to start

Redskins quarterback Kirk Cousins admitted this week it would be pushing it to play in the preseason, and he was right.

The Redskins just announced that Cousins would be inactive for today’s game against the Bills after spraining his foot last week. The injury isn’t believed to be anything that would compromise his availability for the regular season.

That leaves Rex Grossman to start this afternoon against the Bills, since Robert Griffin III is being held out of the preseason as well.

Since Pat White is the only other quarterback on the roster, there’s a high chance for him to get significant action as well.
