Now that the Packers have made cuts, the Vikings can decide whom to claim and whom from their own roster can be dropped.

High school Youtube sensation Sam McGuffie can’t make it with the Raiders. He was supposed to be the second coming of Paul Hornung. Guess not…..

A lot of average defensive players cut that would make the Packers crap, gimmick defense better.

Any good o lineman the packers can pick up?

  5. kaakwha says: Aug 26, 2013 10:08 AM

Any chance these could be sorted by position?

You’re missing the cuts of Phillips and Chaney from the Eagles, who are down to 76 and have a player who is going to be placed on IR (Hunt) so there probably won’t be more Eagles cuts until the end of the week.

    @ everyoneholdsorakpo

Sam has promise, I definetly think he’ll be picked p by another team. Raiders just have a lot of young WRs so they’ll probably look for a vet WR. Id welcome McGuffie to the practice squad tho.

No, you see, the Vikings wisely cashed in their lower round picks for sure fire talent in the first round, meaning we have less baggage in the first place. Unlike the Packers, who stocked up on late round “value”, only to cast them off anyway because you do get what you pay for. Remember that a first round draft pick is carrying your team on offense, and your biggest threat on defense? Yep, another first round pick. Let’s see, who is another fan favorite… BJ Raji? 1st round.

You get the jist. Someday you will understand that Rick Spielman, in emulating the Packer strategy, has surpassed your club in drafting acumen.

    Great feature, thanks PFT!

Next cut and teams will be scrambling to sign guys. Not until the 31st at 6:00pm will players of value be released and then we will see teams who are overloaded in certain positions dump their excess and teams that are weak will absorb those individuals immediately to plug holes mostly created by injury or cap releases (such as in Baltimore).
