Raiders cut Cribbs, setting stage for possible grievance

Raiders

Yes, the Josh Cribbs era has ended in Oakland. (There was one?)

The Raiders have cut Cribbs and waived several others, according to Jerry McDonald of InsideBayArea.com.

Gone are linebacker Keenan Clayton, linebacker Eric Harper, fullback Jon Hoese, receiver Sam McGuffie, guard Andrew Robiski, receiver Tray Session, defensive tackle Myles Wade, and wide receiver Isiah Williams. Also, center/guard Alex Parsons suggested on Twitter that he has been waived, too.

The moves leave the Raiders with 79 players. They’ll have to trim four more roster spots by Tuesday at 4:00 p.m. ET.

Cribbs, as previously mentioned, is being evaluated for a knee injury. The decision to cut him while possibly injured could result in a grievance or, before it comes to that, an injury settlement.
