The Ravens traded wide receiver Anquan Boldin and lost tight end Dennis Pitta to a hip injury, leaving plenty of room for wide receiver Torrey Smith to step into a larger role in the offense.

The Giants, meanwhile, lost safety Stevie Brown for the season to a torn ACL and activated defensive end Jason Pierre-Paul from the PUP list to alter their defensive look in a couple of ways with the opener fast approaching.
