The Eagles are down to 75 players after making a roster move involving outside linebacker Phillip Hunt.
Hunt was waived/injured by the team on Tuesday and will revert to injured reserve if he goes unclaimed by the rest of the league. Hunt has a partially torn ACL and had surgery on it last week.
Hunt was competing for a backup role on the Eagles defense while transitioning from the 4-3 scheme run in the past to the 3-4 base defense put in place under new defensive coordinator Bill Davis. The former CFL player joined the Eagles in 2011 and had three sacks in 22 games for them over the last two seasons.
With Hunt off the roster, the Eagles have seven outside linebackers still vying for spots on the roster.
