The New England Patriots have claimed defensive tackle Gilbert Pena off waivers from the Green Bay Packers and waived/injured lineman Brice Schwab.

Pena signed with the Packers as an undrafted free agent out of the University of Mississippi. He played in the Packers first three preseason games and recorded two tackles.

Schwab also played in the first three games of the preseason for New England before being waived Tuesday.

Pena adds depth to the Patriots’ defensive tackle position as the team had just five tackles on their roster.
