Giants’ Andre Brown exits with leg injury

Giants running back Andre Brown exited Thursday night’s preseason finale after suffering a leg injury.

Brown limped off the field and into the locker room and appeared to be feeling pain in his left ankle.

After emerging as an important part of the Giants’ offense last year, Brown was expected to share playing time at running back with David Wilson this year. It’s a bit surprising that Brown was still in the game late in the second quarter, given that teams usually keep key players out of harm’s way in the fourth preseason game.

The Giants also lost safety Tyler Sash to a concussion and tight end Adrien Robinson to a foot injury.

UPDATE 9:38 p.m. ET: The Giants have announced that Brown has a fractured leg.

Important part of the offense? 5 touchdowns before he broke his leg last year. Seriously you make him sound like the L.T. of running backs.
