The Packers will start the regular season with a pair of largely untested offensive tackles, which has generated some concern about how well quarterback Aaron Rodgers will be protected this season.

General Manager Ted Thompson is not among those concerned about how things are going to play out. During an interview with Mike Vandermause of the Green Bay Press-Gazette, Thompson said that he feels good about the offensive line with the start of the regular season a little more than a week away and he has a message for those who don’t share his confidence.

“It would probably depend on who the people were,” Thompson said. “Go on with their life, everything else will be fine.”

It’s not the cuddliest answer in the world since people interested in the Packers offense may also be consumers of the myriad products that the Packers sell to generate revenue, but Thompson’s confidence has a strong base. The Packers offensive line has dealt with injuries and underperforming players for several years without causing them too many problems when it comes to putting points on the board. With Rodgers at quarterback, that will likely be the case again this year.
