With suspension looming, Von Miller gets a night off

Von Miller’s six-game suspension has been extended by a game.  Sort of.

According to Mike Klis of the Denver Post, Broncos coach John Fox has decided not to play Miller in the team’s preseason finale.

It’s a tough call for Fox.  With Miller due to sit for six weeks, it makes sense to give him one last chance to play in a game.  But if Miller were to suffer an injury that would make him unavailable beyond his suspension, Fox would face relentless criticism.

One week from tonight, the Broncos host the Ravens without Miller or Elvis Dumervil.  At least Miller won’t be playing for Baltimore.

They want him to get in “sitting out the game” shape. There is some concern that just having one preseason non game might not be sufficient. But the team has no other choice at this time. Von will just have to adjust.

Yeah it would be important for the Broncos to play Miller tonight and risk injury….or evaluate the players that MAY be able to help replace him during his suspension.

this story calls for a great big DUH !!!!!

He shouldn’t have played a down last week and let the men that will take the field play then.

Let von play every play tonight.
