A 29-year-old man is in fair condition after falling from an escalator during Thursday night’s game between the Cardinals and Broncos in Denver.
According to KDVR-TV, Noel Robinson fell roughly 10 feet. Originally, it was feared that he had fallen a greater distance and in turn sustained more serious injuries.
Denver police determined the fall to be accidental.
Robinson was taken to a local hospital. He was conscious and talking.
“We are aware of an accident involving a patron falling from an escalator during the fourth quarter of tonight’s game at Sports Authority Field at Mile High,” the stadium management company said in a statement. “The victim was taken to an area hospital by Denver paramedics, and Stadium Management Company is working with authorities to gather more information about this incident.”
The outcome could have been much worse for Robinson. Whatever the cause of these types of incidents at baseball and football stadiums, they happen too often.
