Texans rookie celebrates on the Cowboys’ star, T.O. style

Texans undrafted rookie cornerback A.J. Bouye intercepted a pass in Dallas on Thursday night, and he celebrated by doing his best Terrell Owens impression.

Bouye ran to the middle of the field and stood on the Cowboys’ star logo while holding his arms out and looking upward, the way Owens did when playing for the 49ers at Dallas in 2000, in an infamous incident that led to a penalty flag, a fight on the field and a one-game suspension.

Bouye, who got a 15-yard penalty for the celebration, acknowledged after the game that he was wrong.

I wasn’t thinking, I was being stupid,” Bouye said, via “It was disrespectful for me to do it, for the team and the other team. I wasn’t thinking. . . . They don’t teach us to do that. For me to even do that was disrespectful.”

As a player who’s battling just to make the roster, it’s entirely possible that Bouye was playing his last football game on Thursday night. If so, this was a strange way to go out. Luckily for Bouye, no one went George Teague on him.

    They don’t teach that?

Funny, but i think he still makes the roster.

Its star not the presedential seal.

Awesome. Youngsters that idolized that locker-room cancer, Owens, are now in the league. Meanwhile, in related news: TO can’t figure out why no team will give him a job… smh

Funniest TO incident of all time…..especially the players reactions

Am I the only one that would enjoy more of this type of celebrating and taunting? It would make rivalries a lot better than they are now.

I loved when TO first did it, and I loved when Teague blasted him when TO tried it again. It put that game’s intensity on a much higher level. It was awesome.

….You loved it too, you know you did.

He should have pissed on it.

TO style indeed. Celebrate even during a meaningless game. Will be good to see another overated Houston team get beat down in the first round once again. If they make it that far.

If someone on the Cowboys would have gone “George Teague” on him it may have helped them make the Cowboys roster…..

Doesn’t matter if its the Presidential Seal or the Dallas star, there’s a symbolism that is relevant to that group. If someone want to be disrespectful that’s fine, classless but fine. Its up to the group being disrespected to do something about it.

Go to a Marine Corps base and try to do something stupid on or by an Eagle Globe and Anchor insignia and see what happens.

Jerry will probably sign him to a contract in a few years.

He should’ve said “Who cares it’s just the cowboys.” (Thunderous applause)

lost in all this is the fact that meaningless game or not the kid did intercept a pass the coaches can work on his attitude but it wouldn’t matter if he had no talent my guess is he makes the 53 man

  22. bleedburgandyandgold says: Aug 30, 2013 1:50 PM

I remember watching that game and really enjoying the antics from both sides was very very entertaining

  23. dallasbaby says: Aug 30, 2013 4:07 PM

Well he has to get his 15 minutes somehow. If only it was on that hideous Redskins logo, I’d have watched it on loop 100 times.

Great way to go out. Someone should send him a framed pic of it.

  25. greatestgamensports says: Aug 31, 2013 12:12 AM

What a complete IDIOT! Dude doesn’t have the talent to make a NFL team (any one can intercept one ball from a third string QB) so go out and show your a$$ too! Complete idiot period!
