Brady Quinn tweets goodbye to Seattle

Brady Quinn AP

Brady Quinn is saying goodbye to Seattle.

Quinn, the quarterback who was competing with Tarvaris Jackson to back up Seahawks starter Russell Wilson, wrote on Twitter that he’s on the way out.

“Want to thank the Seahawks organization, coaches, teammates and especially the fans for a great offseason. It was such a blessing to be a part of such a special group! Thank you for the opportunity and best of luck this season! God bless!” Quinn wrote.

A 2007 first-round pick of the Browns, Quinn has bounced around the league from Cleveland to Denver to Kansas City without ever showing he has what it takes to make it as an NFL quarterback. He’s only 28, but he may be out of chances.

Brady can bench Tattoo 47 times, but he couldn’t beat him out for the starting QB job.

Most players who are cut by Seattle seem to be grateful. Winslow and Edwards weren’t so appreciative. Maybe because malcontents.

Brady Quinn has a very intellectual approach to the game, but just doesn’t have the skill set. He should be a coach somewhere. He’d be very good at it.

I second that, Quinn seems like he could make a quality coach someday. Though in the mean time I hope he gets another crack somewhere, he was actually decent in the preseason.
