Buccaneers to put Lawrence Tynes on NFI, with pay

The Buccaneers aren’t going to keep Lawrence Tynes on their roster, but they’re not necessarily admitting it’s their fault, either.

According to Mike Garafolo of FOX Sports, the Bucs are putting the veteran kicker on the reserve/non-football-injury list, but will still pay his salary.

Putting him on injured reserve would have implied that his MRSA-related absence was their fault, and set the stage for legal complications.

Now, he still makes his $840,000 salary, and will be able to focus on his recovery, which to date has not been smooth.

  1. they just don’t want him to sue the hell out of them. I hope he gets better, and this was the bucs fault, they pretty much admitted it when they sanitized theirwhole stadium and when the pats sanitized the lockeroom they used in new England, that did not help much!

The bucs would not have done so had Lawrence been a black man. They would have worried that he would sue. Which Lawrence should do.
Seems like someone is being a little rac!st themselves, right weezy? Playing that shows how simple you are.

  3. Would not have done what weezy? Paid the man or put him on NFI? What would you have done? Do you truly believe skin color (other than the infection itself) played a role in their decisions? When will the race card ever go away…

  4. His wife is complaining about him not being notified in person…If ever someone wants to pay me that kind of money to do nothing!!!You won’t hear a peep out of me.
