Ravens done with Tandon Doss

Doss AP

Ravens G.M. Ozzie Newsome, who’d be in the Hall of Fame as an executive even if he wasn’t in the Hall of Fame as a player, is human, after all.  We know this because a guy Ozzie drafted in the fourth round only two years ago has been cut.

Gone is Tandon Doss, the team announced.  He appeared in 18 total games last year, with seven catches for 123 yards in regular season and none in four postseason games.

Also gone are safety Omar Brown, tight end Matt Furstenburg (whom they supposedly liked a lot), defensive tackle Cody Larsen, guard Antoine McClain, running back Bobby Rainey, tackle J.J. Unga, and tight end Billy Bajema.

Ozzie made all those catches during his career but can’t draft receiver talent to save his life.

As the Greatest GM/Player EVER in NFL history Ozzie also knows when to let go! Cleveland we have room on the charm city bandwagon!

    REPEAT!

And nothing of value was lost.

He only had good hands when he was wide open..only problem was he was never wide open AND always heard footsteps in traffic and THEN had butter fingers.

Ozzie could write a manual on drafting busts.

The steelers could write a manual on “how to lose the division 3 years in a row”…which would also include special features such as “how not to manage a salary cap like a competent franchise” and “how to morally support a raping quarterback”…at least if they had it published they would finally be good at something…

    REIGNING CHAMPS <<deal with it

Not a big deal this guy was a flop…..it happens. Ozzie is just more human than you raven fans want to believe. Before he walked on water…..no he is up to his ankles.lol

I would like the Browns to go after Rainey,I thought he played well for the Ravens this preseason.

Considering he has not had a top 10 pick in how many years. Doss was 4th round. He’s doing OK.

    @vincentbojackson

    What about Torrey Smith, professor?
Glad Ozzie hung on to Marlon Brown and Aaron Mellette. They totally out-performed Doss.

The Ravens are the Browns 1.0, in case you have all forgotten.

Last time I checked, the Steelers have won the division 9 times since the Browns became the Ravens while the Ravens finally just won their 3rd and 4th in the last 2 years. The Steelers won the division 3 years ago going 2 years without. When the Bengals win the division this year, then the Steelers will go 3 years without. Last time I checked, the Steelers have managed to get under the salary cap each year without releasing a player that became a star elsewhere. Harrison may be the first, but still they have been competent, so far. Last time I checked, their QB has not been charged with rape.

Do you actually think that the loyal Cleveland Browns fans will root for a team that was stolen from them and moved to another city that had a team stolen from them? Baltimore Colts fans rooted for the Redskins until the Browns/Ravens started to win more games than the Redskins. I can guarantee you that Browns fans never rooted for the Ravens and never will.

Frankly, I wish Ozzie was our GM. And I can’t think of another GM I would say that about.
