The Titans finished up Saturday’s cuts by getting rid of a guy who started every game for them last year

In addition to the previously reported placement of Marc Mariani on injured reserve, and the release of quarterback Rusty Smith and some others, the Titans let offensive lineman Fernando Velasco go.

Velasco started 13 games at center and three at left guard this year, but lost his job to former Rams lineman Rob Turner, and will now look for a new homes.

The Titans also released defensive tackle Stefan Charles, safety Corey Lynch, linebacker Jonathan Willard and cornerback Khalid Wooten to get to the 53-man limit.

Could’ve traded this guy for a late round pick probably. He had a good year at center last year. Bad cut.

Hope the Vikings pick up Velasco as a back-up G that could challenge Charlie Johnson.
