Broncos bounce Jacob Hester

And another guy who made the 53-man roster is now off the 53-man roster.

Running back Jacob Hester has been released by the Broncos.  The team announced the move earlier this afternoon.

Hester signed with the Broncos last November, appearing in three regular-season games and the playoff loss to Baltimore.  Previously, Hester played for the Chargers.

He was more of a fullback for the Broncos, but with three high-end receivers and plenty of good tight ends, there was no need to keep him around.

The move leaves the Broncos with four running backs:  Ronnie Hillman, Montee Ball, Knowshon Moreno, and C.J. Anderson.

Because he’s a vested veteran, Hester instantly becomes a free agent.

I wouldn’t be surprised if they bring in Andre Carter or Chilo Rachal to add some depth. IMO we could use some at LB specially MLB. I still don’t know why we didn’t try to restructure D.J. Willams’ deal and put him in the middle. Hester did well in his limited time but the RBs on the roster have more upside. THURSDAY IS REDEMPTION DAY!
