Gronkowski back to practice for Patriots

Rob Gronkowski AP

It should have been clear based on their transactions this weekend that the Patriots felt tight end Rob Gronkowski would be back sooner rather than later.

The emphasis on sooner.

According to Jeff Howe of the Boston Herald, Gronkowski was back on the field in full uniform for practice Sunday.

That’s a quicker recovery than many expected from back surgery, though it remains to be seen how much he’s actually doing or will be able to do this week. Reporters see a small portion of individual drills and stretching, so it’s impossible to know if he’ll be able to play this week.

Wow, the heartless Jags cut a player with diabetes and Gronk is back. Wonder when we’ll hear from the legion of haters, who were once again wrong. They’ll probably just move on and find something else to criticize the Pats about, out of jealousy and bitterness.

No, Sudfeld looks like he could be a good red zone weapon with or without Gronk in the lineup; maybe even better when Gronk comes back and gets those double and triple teams. At least he could be someone to throw in the FF lineup on those weeks when your FF team has lots of players off.

Gronk is getting close but I still doubt we see him in week one or week two. The Patriots play in the first Thursday night game of the year and after that they have a ten day break before playing the Bucs in week 3. I bet we see Gronk get limited snaps against Tampa as a tune up before starting his first game of the year in week four at Atlanta.

It feels like we live in Gaza if Americans can’t watch Tebow play Qb. We are prisoners in our own country!

Unfortunately I think you’re right. The Bills and Jets remain disasters, not sure what Miami will amount to this year but it’s had to see them taking the division with that quarterback.

    Whats his name.

The post above hit it on the head, a few snaps wk 3 for timing, etc., and then 1st significant action wk4 at Atlanta.
