The Jets announced Sunday afternoon that they claimed three players off of waivers, including the previously reported addition of running back Alex Green.

The other two new members of the squad are linebacker Scott Solomon and tackle Ben Ijalana. The Jets released running back Khalil Bell and linebacker Danny Lansanah and placed linebacker Josh Mauga on injured reserve to make room for the new additions.

Solomon was a seventh-round pick in Tennessee last season and played 13 games for the Titans as a rookie. Ijalana was a second-round pick of the Colts in 2011, but only played four games with the team after tearing his ACL early in training camp last year. He’s also had multiple hip surgeries, so injuries have been something of a problem for Ijalana to this point in his career.

The Jets also added six players to their practice squad, all of whom were in training camp with the team. They are wide receiver Michael Campbell, linebacker Troy Davis, defensive tackle Tevita Finau, safety Rontez Miles, tight end Chris Pantale and tackle J.B. Shugarts.
