Ravens add ex-Falcons linebacker Robert James

Joe Flacco, Robert James AP

In a move that bolsters their special-teams coverage ranks, the Ravens were awarded ex-Falcons linebacker Robert James on waivers on Sunday, according to the NFL’s transaction log.

James, 28, notched 10 special-teams tackles for Atlanta in 2012. A fourth-year pro from Arizona State, the 5-foot-11, 224-pound James likely projects as a backup inside linebacker on defense.

In a corresponding roster move, the Ravens waived/injured third-year wide receiver LaQuan Williams, who’s recorded nine special-teams tackles in the previous two seasons. According to Aaron Wilson of the Baltimore Sun, Williams has a hamstring injury, and an injury settlement is anticipated.

And with that, the 2012 Ravens are set. Hope this guy can be a good special teams contributor. Lol, at the Steelers last two seasons! One and done (by the hands of now jobless Tebow) and none and none, last season. Come to think of it; what have the Steeler’s done at all lately? Nothing, that’s what.

Isn’t Polamalu about 80 years old now and is Roethlisberger clear of all his rape charges?

I thought this was a Ravens post. If you want to talk about the Steelers you might remeber the little boy who asked his father “Daddy, what are the playoffs?” His father said “You don’t need to know about that Son, we are Steeler fans”.

Well, they did beat the Ravens in Baltimore last year in front of their drooling incontinent fans with a 3rd string 38 year old QB that is now retired. That is something.

Unlike Ravens fans, Steelers fans do not only root for the Steelers when they make the playoffs. They root for the Steelers no matter what. Having said that, look at the last 40 years of the Steelers and compare that with the last 40 years of the Ravens/Browns 1.0. Ravens fans only gloat now because the Ravens have finally become relevant in the AFC North. Let’s see how long that lasts now that the Bengals are the team to beat.

Polamalu is one year older than Suggs and Roethlisberger was never charged with rape. Try again.

Constantly getting better and building depth at all positions.
    Even special teams.

    Colbert should take notice.
