The Steelers have signed sixth-round pick Justin Brown to their practice squad, the club said Sunday.

A wide receiver from Oklahoma, Brown was waived Saturday by Pittsburgh. He caught six passes for 44 yards in the preseason.

Also added to the practice squad were running back Alvester Alexander, defensive end Brian Arnfelt, linebacker Alan Baxter, linebacker Terence Garvin, offensive lineman Chris Hubbard, offensive lineman Joe Long and defensive back Devin Smith.

Brown was one of two 2013 draft picks waived by the Steelers on Saturday. Cornerback Terry Hawthorne, a fifth-round selection, was also let go.
