Vikings claim J’Marcus Webb off waivers from Bears

The Bears didn’t need J’Marcus Webb any longer, but he didn’t have to wait long or move far for his next chance.

According to multiple reports, Webb was claimed off waivers by the Vikings today.

Webb had started 44 games the last three years for Chicago, but was replaced in a makeover up front there.

With the Vikings, he’s a solid swing tackle behind starters Matt Kalil and Phil Loadholt.

Not a bad swing tackle pickup…I mean, he could start for the Packers…

If you’re a former Bear or Packer there is always room for you in Minnesota. Webb is actually a decent run blocker, so if he sees the field the Vikings won’t be in bad shape as long as the hand it to AP every single play

The Vikings should disable the wifi at the Metrodome-maybe then Webb will stay off of Twitter and actually learn how to listen to a snap count.

Best of luck to the Vikings on this acquisition-but hopefully you won’t see this guy play very often.

Normally, in the past, before Phil Emery, I was always concerned about the players the Bears let go that are picked up by another team in the NFC North, but, not this one! Infact, I hope J’Marcus Webb is the starting right or left tackle for the Vikings…he’ll make Shea McClellin and Corey Wooten look like All-Pro’s!!!
(just for the record, I do wish Webb the best just the same. He’s a good guy, he just can’t play.)

Surprised GBay didn’t go for this guy. He could start anywhere on their O-line, but a great backup for the Vikes nonetheless

He is so, so bad. Hope he starts. Can’t wait to watch peppers peel ponders head off the turf.

    he will add some depth

This guy isn’t a starter but he’s fine as a backup. Mike Tice really like him, and he is a young guy so who knows what will happen. He likely won’t see any playing time though

So Webb lands in Minny? I thought they only raided the Packers washed up players. Regardless, here in Chicago, he was referred to as the Gateway to the QB. That won’d be a problem for you since you only have Ponder and not a real QB.

Hahahahahah oh my god….. Awesome, please football gods let this bum start when the Bears play the Queens. Jared Allen should have told his loser GM on how easy Webb helped him almost get the sack record the last few years! Lol Hahahaha awesome,

jared allen is upset with this signing. how is he supposed to keep racking up sacks when he will lose at least 8 now that webb plays for his team.

AHHHaha! This cracks me up. The vikes should stick picking up a champions(Packers) cast offs. Webb is a turnstile. Clay shredded him last year and will get to do it again this year.

I watched several Bears games where Webb was manhandled at LT, hope he never has to play there for the Vikes.

Not a bad swing tackle pickupā€¦I mean, he could start for the Packersā€¦

And with the addition of Seneca Wallace, we feel the same about his chances in Minnesota…
