The Dolphins have announced the initial eight members of their practice squad, six of whom were part of the team until the cut to 53 players over the weekend.

Among that group are wide receivers Marvin McNutt and Brian Tyms. McNutt was a sixth-round pick of the Eagles last year, but got cut in May and the Dolphins claimed him off of waivers. Dolphins wide receivers coach Ken O’Keefe was McNutt’s offensive coordinator at the University of Iowa. Tyms was on the team’s practice squad last year and will try again to work his way onto the main roster this time around.

The Dolphins also brought back defensive back De’Andre Presley, safety Jordan Kovacs, center Sam Brenner and tight end Kyle Miller.

The two new arrivals to the organization are defensive tackle Al Lapuaho, who was with the Rams until St. Louis made its cuts, and tackle Jason Weaver, who was cut by the Bengals when they went from 90 to 75 players in the first round of August cuts.
