Many teams like to hold onto players that spent the summer with them when they fill out their practice squads and the Eagles mostly followed suit when they announced the first five players who would be on that unit.

Four of the five players were with the Eagles this summer. Included in that group is tackle Michael Bamiro, the rare player who wound up in the NFL despite being ineligible for both the regular and supplemental draft after finishing his career at Stony Brook. Bamiro reportedly had part of his base salary guaranteed, which likely makes the Eagles happy that no one claimed him on waivers.

Running back Matthew Tucker, linebacker Travis Long and wide receiver Greg Salas also return to the Eagles after being cut over the weekend.

The newcomer to the organization is safety Trenton Robinson, who was let go by the 49ers over the weekend. Robinson was a sixth-round pick last year and played three games for the Niners.
