The next time John Boyett gets arrested, he’s going to have to use a new line on the cops.

The Colts announced this morning they had waived the rookie safety from the reserve/non-football injury list.

They were stashing him there for the season, after drafting him in the sixth round despite knee injuries that limited him to one game last year at Oregon.

But that was before he was arrested early Monday morning on charges of disorderly conduct, public intoxication and resisting law enforcement.

According to the report, Boyett told cops: “You can’t arrest me, I’m a Colts player.”

Now, apparently, they are free to.
