Falcons add Jeremy Trueblood for line depth

Jeremy Trueblood AP

The Falcons parted ways with veteran right tackle Tyson Clabo this offseason, and with his replacement failing to step up, they were forced to dip back into the veteran market.

The team announced they signed former Buccaneers right tackle Jeremy Trueblood. To make room for him on the roster, they released offensive lineman Terren Jones.

The Falcons lost Mike Johnson to a broken leg in training camp, leaving the position to Lamar Holmes, last year’s third-rounder.

Trueblood started 84 games for the Buccaneers, and could end up starting for the Falcons sooner rather than later.

So some people are afraid that gang activity exists among active players, but what about a more realistic fear…Vamps in the NFL!?

As a Bucs fan, I am very excited by this move.

Falcons fans, enjoy the exciting competition! Will he have more holding penalties, personal fouls, or blown blocks leading to sacks this year?

The guy got cut from the Skins who favored Tyler Polumbus over Trueblood. I would be concerned if I were a Falcons fan.

Cameron Jordan is licking his chops? That’s the funniest thing I’ve read all year. At least come up with an actual good player.

Compared to Jared Allen yeah he doesn’t compare, but he is one of better up and coming DLineman actually.

Wow. This is great news as a Bucs fan. If you’re having to sign Trueblood just before Week 1, your offensive line is not doing well. Ouch.

Good luck with this bust, Falcons. Another Jon Gruden/Bruce Allen FAILURE in the draft.

    Hope he starts soon.

Start the man. Especially when playing the Bucs.
