Once the second overall pick in the 2009 Draft, Jason Smith’s now looking for work as a backup.

According to Adam Caplan of TheSidelineView.com, Smith visited the Titans, though there was no deal.

Smith was cut by the Saints this offseason after initially getting a chance to compete for the starting left tackle job. The Jets brought him in for a moment, but released him in final cuts. He played acceptably well for the Jets as a swing tackle and in jumbo packages last year, after he was acquired from the Rams.

The Titans should be solid up front after investing heavily on guards this offseason, signing Andy Levitre early in free agency to go with first-round pick Chance Warmack, with returning tackles Michael Roos and David Stewart.
