Redskins wide receiver Pierre Garçon said in May that he wasn’t sure if he was still going to have trouble with the injured tendon in his foot that caused him to miss games last season and play at less than 100 percent when he was on the field.

Things appear to have improved since then, however. Garçon was asked about the condition of his foot on Tuesday and said that it felt “100 percent” heading into the regular season. He promised that nothing would change about his game as a result of the injury.

“Same thing, nothing’s changed, really,” Garçon said, via Mike Jones of the Washington Post. “Still trying to make plays every time I touch the ball, trying to block downfield for my team, just move the ball downfield and score touchdowns, really. Always [excited], every time you get a chance to play football, really -- especially in the NFL.”

While most eyes have been focused on the recovery of another injured member of the Redskins offense, a healthy Garçon will make life much easier for Robert Griffin III and his surgically repaired knee. The two clicked well down the stretch last season when Garçon was finally feeling well enough to play and carrying that over into the new season could lead to even better things for the Washington offense.
