The Rams start the 2013 season with the youngest roster in the NFL and they added eight more players at the start of their professional careers to the practice squad on Monday.
All eight of the players signed to the practice squad were among the final cuts the Rams made to get down to 53 players. Not on the list is quarterback Austin Davis, who lost out to Kellen Clemens in a competition to back up Sam Bradford. Bradford and Clemens are the only quarterbacks that made the 53-man roster.
Linebacker/defensive end Sammy Brown, who played for the Rams near the end of last season, did wind up on the squad.
The other players who returned to the Rams are wide receiver Emory Blake, defensive end Mason Brodine, safety Cody Davis, tackle Sean Hooey, fullback Eric Stevens, wide receiver Justin Veltung and cornerback Darren Woodard.
