Welker, Dickson appear ready to go for Thursday

Welker

The first full Week One injury report will arrive on Wednesday. For the teams who’ll play Thursday night, the initial report was published on Monday.

For the two teams who’ll be playing, the list of injured players reflects good news as to one key player.

Broncos receiver Wes Welker fully participated in practice despite an ankle injury suffered in the preseason. Ditto for Ravens tight end Ed Dickson, who tore a hamstring last month.

Not practicing for the Broncos were cornerback Champ Bailey (foot), running back C.J. Anderson (knee), and tight end Joel Dreessen (knee). Guard Chris Kuper, who didn’t play in the preseason as he deals with an ankle injury, was limited in practice. Defensive end Robert Ayers (Achilles), quarterback Brock Osweiler (shoulder), and tackle Ryan Clady (shoulder) all fully participated.

For the Ravens, defensive tackle Art Jones (illness) and tight end Dennis Pitta (hip) are out. Tackle Ryan Jensen (foot), receiver Deonte Thompson (foot), and defensive tackle Brandon Williams (toe) did not practice.

The two team will issue another report on Tuesday, and they’ll apply the probable-questionable-doubtful labels on Wednesday.
